i love love love it when my kids find joy in dancing, creating art, using their imagination while playing, listening to uplifting music and i enjoy doing those things too!

this quote by President Nelson stuck out to me probably because we are in the process of preparing to build a home. Right now we are working on house plans and all the details and measurements that go into it.  Makes sense that this earth life we are building our eternity by the small and simple things we do and choose each day. Building our lives with revelations from God will provide the eternal destiny we desire.

for some reason this quote keeps coming to my mind this week. i finally looked it up and wanted to document it here. maybe i've been thinking about how i've been struggling with implementing new parenting tips and self-help suggestions from books, blogs, instagram etc...and so maybe i should focus on learning and living the doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ first and foremost. There is power and purpose that comes through studying doctrine.
