A Gentleman in Moscow

My husband and I were single until we were well into our 30’s. This quote reminds me of my independent days of going to sleep when I wanted, exercising, reading and other hobbies when I wanted...it was convenient to say the least. We’ve been married for 10 years now and have 5 kids. Life isn’t so convenient now but “in the inconveniences” I’ve truly found what matters most!!

This quote reminded me of a family we met while we were building a new home in a new area...our first impression of them was so one sided. As we’ve gotten to know them we see SO MUCH more in them. They have many talents, they sing in the church choir, play the organ, organize parties, are leaders in cub scouts, plow the snow out of neighbor’s driveways, befriend the widows, farm, run a business and share testimonies of Christ...and so much more we still don’t know about them.

Yes!! I’m in awe at the millions of inventions, advances, knowledge gained and truths learned and passed down that have made our lives so abundant today! Thank you to all those who have gone before us!

Kindred spirits

I recently read this quote in a magazine. So grateful for the dear friends I’ve met and continue to meet throughout my life!!! It’s something so special when an acquaintance becomes a treasured friend!
